What parents say

The rhythm of the day

The same order every day, so everyone knows what comes next

The times move with the babies' naps. The order stays.

  1. 01
    Early morning

    Step 1: Arrival

Each child comes in with their family, hangs a backpack on its hook and finds a friend. There is always time for a hug at the door.

  2. 02
    Mid-morning

Step 2: Play at the table and on the rug

Blocks, books, dough and paint. Babies have the play mat, and the two adults move between the groups.

  3. 03
    Midday

    Step 3: Lunch together

Lunch is cooked here and served family style at the big table. Babies eat beside the table, on their own schedule.

  4. 04
    Early afternoon

    Step 4: Rest

Babies sleep in their own cribs. Older children rest on cots or look at books on the rug.

  5. 05
    Mid-afternoon

    Step 5: Outside

The fenced back yard has a sandbox, a slide and a garden bed. In winter it's coats and boots and a shorter visit.

  6. 06
    Late afternoon

    Step 6: Pickup

Parents come to the door and a grown-up hands each child over in person, with a word about the day.

How to enroll

  1. 01

    Step 1: Get in touch

Call, text or use the form. Lachelle answers at the end of the day and asks your child's age and the schedule you need.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Book a tour

Come to the home, meet Lachelle and Liza, see the rooms and the yard, and ask anything. A tour takes about half an hour, and children are welcome.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Register

If there is a place, we send you the enrollment forms, where medical and pickup details stay private.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The first day

Bring a change of clothes and a water bottle. We stay with your child at the door for as long as they need, and send you a message when they settle in.

Questions, answered

What ages do you take?

From 6 weeks to 5 years. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers share the home, and each age has its own place on the floor, at the table and in the rest room.

How many children are here at once?

Up to 12 children, with 2 adults.

What does the license mean?

The state has licensed the home to care for a group of up to 12 children. Our license number is at the bottom of every page, and you can look it up with the state.

Can we visit before we decide?

Yes. Book a tour and Lachelle shows you the whole home, introduces you to Liza and answers whatever you ask. Children are welcome to come along.

What happens if Lachelle is out?

Liza runs the day, and a backup adult from our list steps in as the second adult. We tell you by text before you leave home.

How does tuition work?

It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the days a week. We give you the figures in writing at the tour.

Do you share photos of the children?

Only with your written permission, and never with a child's name. You can change your answer at any time.

How do I join the waitlist?

Tell us your child's age and the schedule you need, on the form or at a tour. When a place opens, we call the family that has waited longest for that age first.
